Presented dataset contains meteorological data from Arctowski automatic weather station located at sea level at western shore of Admiralty Bay (King George Island, West Antarctica) during 2013.01.03 – 2017.12.31. The dataset contains daily mean, maximum and minimum values of air temperature [°C], relative air humidity [%], air pressure [hPa], wind speed [m/s] and daily sum of solar radiation [MJ/m2]. Mean values of air temperature and humidity, wind speed and air pressure were calculated from measurements taken every 10 minutes. Non-processed data were used for identification of extreme values. Daily sum of solar radiation were calculated from solar radiation intensity measured every 10 minutes. Automatic weather station has a data logger manufactured by Campbell with following sensors: Vaisala temperature and humidity probe (2 m a.s.l), Setra barometer (2 m a.s.l), Gill Wind Sonic anemometer (2.5 m a.s.l) and Kipp&Zonen pyranometer (2 m a.s.l). Presented data may serve as a background for other research projects conducted at King George Island as well as an analyse of meteorological conditions itself. They could also be useful in evaluation of management plans of Antarctic Special Protected Areas located at King George Island.
If there were fewer than 75% of measurements during the day, the day was considered to be without data. The data deficit was as follows:
Air pressure: 13 days with 75–99% of measurements; 33 days with no data. Air temperature and relative air humidity: 11 days with 75–99% of measurements; 31 days with no data. Solar radiation: 11 days with 75–99% of measurements; 127 days with no data. Wind speed: 75 days with 75–99% of measurements; 56 days with no data.
